Testimonials
“As a long term client of Ryan’s, (and one that has gone through a few personal trainers) I can attest that he is the real deal! Ryan’s comprehensive knowledge of human anatomy and physiology makes him incredibly effective at knowing how hard he can safely push you to your physical limits. He customizes your workouts based on your ability level, and pays attention to how your body is responding to ensure you’re getting the most benefit without injuries. His insistence on proper form and technique make me feel safe in his hands!
Aside from his technical abilities, Ryan is a great coach. He motivates me to get better every work out and continues to encourage me with every small achievement made. Workouts are never boring and I know that if I’m willing to put in the effort, Ryan will be just as invested in my fitness goals as I am!”

“I’ve worked with a lot of trainers in the past. All of them have just run me ragged for an hour without seeming to give a thought to long-term consequences. Except Ryan. He always seems to be thinking about how my movement today will affect me in the future, and he pays attention to the stuff that no one else seems to (like balance, flexibility, etc.). Since I’ve started working with Ryan, I’m stronger, more flexible, more balanced & can run faster. My body composition has changed for the better. Oh, and I’ve also lost 25 lbs and I’m no longer pre-diabetic. So yeah. I’d say that’s pretty good.”
— Janelle.
“I have worked with several trainers over the years and none come close to offering the level of expertise and commitment Ryan gives to his clients. He is engaged, purposeful, and really cares about your success. If you are serious about getting healthy and fit, Ryan will create the roadmap and hold you accountable.”
— Dan Wellik.
“About 2 ½ years ago I hit a plateau with my own fitness efforts and thought I would try strength training. I did not know where to start and felt awkward in a gym, which is where Ryan came in. I quickly realized his approach was working and little by little I was getting stronger, healthier and everything else in my life was becoming easier. I have hit some profound personal milestones in the last 2 ½ years with Ryan’s support. I know I am showing up at each session with a purpose and a plan that is personalized to me.
I think more importantly I have fundamentally shifted how I view my own health and have found a way to sustain better habits and routines. It’s no longer just about the ‘before and after’ and hitting those big goals, but how do I keep moving when work/life balance is off and how do I stay motivated when I get derailed by illness, injury or other life things. I continue to work with Ryan because he meets me where I am, encourages me to keep going – and with the right plan, consistency and hard work I will keep hitting milestones.”

Testimonials
“I started training with Ryan back in 2019. At the time I was having pain in my right shoulder and chronic tendinitis in my left knee from old college sports injuries. He took plenty of time doing base testing to see where I needed the most work and he didn't rush into trying to get me to do big lifts. We started with some smaller rehab type exercises and worked our way up from there. Within the next 2 months my shoulder pain was completely gone and I could play my old sport without issue which was way qicker that I ever thought could happen. My knee has also been getting much better with every month I have trained. In the past, I have worried about over exerting myself with some trainers and felt my knee got worse, but I have never worried about that with Ryan.
Another big difference in my experience with Ryan is I am learning a lot about why we do exercises one way or another, why he structures this the way he does and things like that. I have had people train with me and it felt as though I was following a pre-printed cookie cutter routine. With Ryan I have come in and said X, Y, or Z has been giving me issues and then he would change the exercises on the spot to help me out, especially if I was tight from earlier that week.
Good guy, definitely recommend if you like learning about this stuff and want a workout unique to you and your body.”

“Ryan is the best! He has helped me to be fitter and stronger than ever. As a busy professional, I need to fit in a lot in a short period of time. Ryan understands and accommodates this. He designs workouts tailored to my goals and has pushed me beyond what I though was possible. Highly recommend!”

“I have worked with Ryan over 1 summer and I have almost doubled my maxes.”

“I began training with Ryan as an undergraduate at the University of St. Thomas – I had no choice in this endeavor, however, because he was the Javelin coach for the Track and Field team. All jokes aside, Ryan was instrumental in my success as a collegiate athlete and continues to be a phenomenal trainer to work with to this day. His workouts are definitely tough, but the thing is that he never gave me a workout or training regimen that wasn’t attainable. I struggled with numerous injuries throughout my athletic career, which for a long period of time stopped me from lifting weights per doctor’s orders. When I was finally cleared to lift weights it was my Freshman year of college and I hadn’t truly lifted weights in over a year. When I started Ryan’s program, he told me quite honestly that I was weak in important areas like my back and abs, which contributed to my perpetual hip pain. He tailored a plan specifically to address my physical deficits, which started with general bodyweight strengthening and the bane of my existence, the dreaded hollow-body holds. What I liked about this newfound bane of my existence nonetheless, is that I never got bored with any of my workouts as I progressed – because I was shown exercises that truly engaged me physically and mentally. Ryan has high standard, which pushed me develop a strong sense of grit and become a stronger athlete on and off the track. The main takeaway, if any, is that if you can handle a moderately horrible sense of humor and want to find a personal trainer that will help you progress physically, reach out to Ryan so you can wind up writing one of these personal accounts one day.”
